I called this piece "ChaseNCashe Digital" because when I was originally inspired to paint the actual painting (there is an oil paint version of this piece) I was listening to Chase N. Cashe's beat tape. I was reflecting on life and thinking about the road to jail... You can stumble upon it many ways, but one of the easiest by far is "chasing cash"...
Chasing money is also a great way to sell yourself short. Remember that. Do what you love.

im feelin that barcode. so many of our brothers & sisters are merely a number. a number that follows them for their lifetime, a number that is left as a negative legacy for their kids.
Yes... that's how most of us... well... all of us are seen in the eyes of some: as numbers. If we're famous/talented we are seen as sales/revenue numbers, criminals have ID numbers that they keep forever... encouraging them to return to a cell (also numbered), and average people are just seen as social numbers until we become relevant to those people in which case, we become money, still numbers.
The numbers that we acquire throughout life in this country are often like chains of bondage... u feel me?
